Lynley and Blake met the old fashioned way: at their favorite bar Pattie’s in Scottsdale, AZ (no swiping!). On a hot August night around 2am, Blake approached a lone Lynley  and asked her name. After telling him, his opening line was: “Hey, if we ever got married, your name would be Lyn-Ley-Lew!” Lynley rolled her eyes and said: “Yea and I can throw a ‘who’ on the end and be a character from Whoville.” It was obvious they had great banter from their first conversation. Now, here we are, a short and uncomplicated 7 and a half years later, about to celebrate their wedding.

Blake loves that Lynley is a second grade teacher and is developing the youth of America. Lynley isn’t really sure what Blake does but knows it has to do with chemistry and computer chips. Though they were separated for a little while when Blake moved to Chicago for a big job opportunity, their love was always there, and they reunited when they couldn’t bear to be apart any longer.

Blake proposed on Christmas Eve with the help of Lynley’s dad, Jeff. A surprise gift Jeff just happened to find under the tree after all the others were opened held the ring. Lynley was completely surprised even though mere hours before the big question she jokingly asked Blake: “What, are you gonna propose or something?” when Blake asked if she “really, really loved him?”

They are both so excited for you to join them in the desert as they say “I do” in April 2024!
